My husband, Jeff and I moved to Asheville in 1995 from Portland Oregon. I worked for the City of Asheville as an urban planner before becoming a Realtor at Appalachian Realty. I keep busy as a volunteer for various civic groups and local art galleries. My hobbies and interests include running, hiking, and both road and mountain bicycling. I'm also very interested in historic restoration. My husband and I have almost completed the restoration of our 1880's Victorian home. It has taken three years of hard work and elbow grease, but the results are well worth it! We restored two 1920's bungalows before this endeavor.
As a geographer and urban planner, I have traveled and lived all over the country including Boulder, Portland, and Carmel before finding Asheville.
I believe Asheville to be one of the best communities to live in. The topography, the climate, the culture, and the people are just a few reasons I feel I have found my home. I plan on staying in this wonderful mountain city for a long time.
